Well, ain't this my luck. I haven't even got my brand new MBP (late 2011) as I am watching the Live Coverage of Worldwide Developers Conference 2012 of the new MBP with mind-blowing specs. And it isn't even that much more expensive. Why I am feeling like a fool?
Update:I called to Apple Store service number and got the order cancelled. I will send back the Samsung 830 series 256GB SSD as well.
ReplyDeleteIt may be, that I will place an order for new MBP 15" retina with 512SSD and 16GB RAM later this week. This will result major change in the HW plans I have made. As consequent result, I may need to find other things to tweak than the MBP itself.
And so it goes... ...I placed a new order for MBP. This order is for 15" MacBook Pro with Retina display, 2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, 16GB (completely irrational, 8GB would have been fine), and 512GB SSD. All and all, this is a tad more expensive than the order I cancelled a few hours ago.
ReplyDeleteIf this is really the design http://www.apple.com/fi/macbook-pro/design/ it is beyond my soldering skills to change any components from the motherboard. Perhaps the 16GB ram wasn't that stupid thing after all
